for everyone
Day 7 saw us resuming our tour of Old Lijiang. We started off at another enclave, then stops at the Wooden Palace and finally, the Old City's main quarter. The sun was shining, and the crowds were teeming... tralalala..! :D

Had a little adventure at the minor enclave of Old Lijiang.

When we arrived at our restaurant inside the enclave after our walking tour, we found we had 'lost' my sister, another lady and her old mom along the way! So our tour guides and I had an interesting pre-lunch workout sweeping the area, before they were found waiting at our tour bus.

After lunch, it was more 'dodge-the-crowds' at the main Old City for the rest of the day before heading to the airport. There, we caught our delayed Eastern China flight back to Kunming with a grumpy air hostess.

Kunming was the last leg of our tour before we flew home the following afternoon, and that's all, folks!

Oh ok. Seen it. Nice scenery but the food didn't look too appetizing though. :P

Look like shopping street to me.
philipyeoh wrote on Jun 16, '07
yep it actually is. old lijiang wudn't survive at all without tourists visiting or even staying there!

guess i didn't snap the best views re: the street food. i didn't really eat it tat much either, 'cos the tour package tended to over-feed us at mealtimes.
boogslabbit wrote on Jun 17, '07
I bet you must have gained weight w/ all that over-feeding! :P

sometimes virgins have more unadulterated eyes for beauty. =P

am glad i managed to convey this impression here. :)

Lijiang (like most of the other places we visted) was actually horribly congested. it was peak foreign AND domestic tourist season in yunnan.

in most of my yunnan pix, i had to position myself, and then wait AGES to take my shots.

I like this photo. I was there in March, it was spring. I remembered the sun was golden, colours were vivid and rich... The colour scheme was a little bit different :-))
